The creation is
a wondrous, beautiful, complex manifestation of
God’s majesty; doing science means in the
first instance, responding to God’s power
with awe, and recognizing His omnipotence. Science
abstracts, examines and derives laws based on
the regularity of God’s works in creation.
The science program
at DCHS seeks a two-fold aim: to successively
uncover the beauty and diversity of the creation,
and to develop in students a scientific literacy
enabling students to have such scientific knowledge,
skills and habits of mind to make knowledgeable
decisions and to have such positive attitudes
to be able to live and work well in God’s
world.
