Chapel Speakers

Alanna Nielsen Gr10 / Winston Quintal Gr 10: DCHS students www.dchs.com Our very own Alanna and Winston presented a collection of videos that challenged the school to better understand those who are different from ourselves. They emphasized that it is not enough to just understand how people are different around us but that we have to take it into action and allow ourselves to get to know others. When we do, we discover who they really are in the inside and we honour God who created them. Video link click here

Carlo Raponi: Kawartha Youth Unlimited Director Youth Unlimited Carlo was our dynamic speaker for our weeklong Faith on Fire event. Students were introduced each day with topics that helped them look beyond their own safe communities and to challenge them to reach out to people outside their communities. Carlo reminded the students that in the great scheme of things, we all serve God's will in this world which teaches us humility and is counter cultural to the "It is all about me" paradigm.
